The Black History Project in partnership with The Peace and Justice Institute (PJI) at Valencia College presents The Talk: Part 2. Join us for two, 2-hour workshops: 1) Family Conversations on Race and, 2) Trauma & Healing: Supporting our Youth.  The workshops are designed to positively impact the culture of communities and families and will provide teens and parents with tools for reflection and resources to have important conversations on race, bias, privilege, and trauma-healing.


This event is a follow up to The Talk: Part 1 which was designed to discuss the social and emotional impact of racial injustice and the current health crisis on black youth. Families were encouraged to attend this open forum where they shared their thoughts, feelings, and questions with licensed therapists and attorneys who provided guidance and feedback.
