Nikea is an innovative leader, cultural curator, community advocate, and champion for equitable education.  Prior to her position as a Professional School Counselor, she served as a culturally competent teacher for ten years within the Orange County Public Schools system. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, she has always exhibited a commitment towards ensuring diversity and inclusion within every workspace and classroom she has encountered.  Recognizing that education was the passport to her future, she earned her A.A. degree from Valencia College, B.S degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central, and a M.A. degree in Counseling from Webster University.  

Nikea is a proud member of the Orlando Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, where she serves on various committees. She has also served as a member of various local, state, and national organizations, including the Central Florida Section of the National Coalition for Negro Women (NCNW) and Orange County Branch of the NAACP.
