About Cindy Marcelin

Cindy Marcelin is a Social Studies educator with over 16 years of experience. She has taught a variety of subjects ranging from United States History to Advanced Placement courses that includes World History, Human Geography and United States Government and Politics. Cindy was recognized as an outstanding Advanced Placement Reader by the College Board for the past five years. The School Board of Broward County has recognized Cindy as an innovative technology integration leader. Cindy has also served as the Social Studies Department Chair and Professional Learning Community Facilitator for a total of 7 years in Broward County Schools. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 Cindy was chosen to present an award on the Oscars in the year 2020 and represent teachers nationwide who continue to serve students during what some may say was the most challenging time to be an educator.
